About The Owner
Rod has been living in Cabo Verde for 25 years. The owner of the building is American, but has lived and traveled across Europe operating his own sports centre’s prior to settling in Cabo Verde. He opened Cabo Verdes first kite school 25 yrs ago and has since supported the growth of local water sports centres across Sal and Boa Vista. He closed all his water sports centres during covid and has since focused on holiday rentals and personal projects.

Rod loves living here and enjoys meeting new humans, the climate and the interesting challenges that come from running a business in a developing country.

When given a choice he choses quality over quantity. He aims to live in conjunction with our environment, rather than seek to dominate it. Mostly he is human, so although he seeks to give his clients the best service possible, he will make mistakes as life offers surprises all the time, ones we cannot anticipate or control. If something makes you incredibly unhappy than please tell him and he will try he best to fix it. He is here to make your holiday experience a memorable one.

Have a really great holiday and be open to the experience of Sal. There are so many positive things Sal has to offer. It will not snow or rain, you will make loads of new friends, and best of all, you get to hang out with the beautiful ever changing spectacular ocean.

While on holiday, please be gentle and kind to the water (in the apartment and in the ocean), electricity, the island, and most importantly to yourselves.
